This article is a walkthrough of Welcome to the Game II.

Welcome to the Game II is a randomly generated puzzle/survival horror game where you start off navigating the Deep Wiki I in search of eight bits of code called "keys" or "hashes", hidden within the websites of the Deep Web. You only have six in-game hours to do so, which translates to three actual hours.

Threats[]

Before discussing the threat in details, the player should know about the hidden difficulty point system. The window on the left of your PC will indicate whether more dangerous threats would be coming. If this window is open, Lucas Kumiega will be active. For every 3 hacks the player encountered, they will be given +1 difficulty point. If the player opened a website that contains a key, they will also be given +1 difficulty point. If the player has 3 or more difficulty points, the window will open.

This effectively means that if you got no hacks, but found 3 keys, the window will open.
Likewise, if you got no keys, but have been forcing hack and triggered the hack 9 times, the window will also open.
If you know the amount of hacks you have encountered, and are sure about the number of keys you ran into, you can abuse this mechanic to check whether the window would open to find the next key (Assuming no more hacks got triggered, as triggering it may potentially increase the difficulty point and cause the window to open earlier).
- Example: You got 3 hacks and saw 1 key, yet the window is still close. The window is then guaranteed to open if you open a website that contains a key next, as long as you don't trigger 3 more hacks.

With all that said, let's continue to the main threats. There are total of five threats in this game, in addition to an optional threat called The Doll Maker.

The Police[]

The Police are the easiest threat you will have to understand to survive the game, though they can be quite hard to remember if you aren't paying attention. The police attempt to find the player by tracing their Wi-Fi connection. However, this can be stopped simply by switching to different networks before you exceed the track rate of the Wi-Fi networks you are using. (You can check the Wi-Fi section below for more information). As you progress through the game you can also crack higher security networks which tend to give you more safe time before the police can find you. They track most free networks you are given quite fast, followed by WEP networks, then WPA, and finally WPA2 networks. Since you start the game with only a selection of free network it is recommended to purchase SkyBREAK and begin cracking WEP networks as soon as possible. As you earn enough DosCoin you can also eventually purchase the WPA2 library for SkyBREAK and begin to crack WPA2 networks.

In addition to this, you can also purchase the Police Scanner from the Shadow Market to determine if the police are closing in on your location. If you hear any of the cues below, they are about to find you and jump you in your apartment. If this is about to happen, simply disconnect from your current Wi-Fi network.

Police Scanner Cues[]

Noir[]

The Noir are another quite easy threat to beat, but they can be quite dangerous if you get careless to their presence. Throughout the game, the Noir will occasionally spawn in the vicinity of the player. If you see them you just have to turn around and count to 10 to make them leave. If you are not vigilant the Noir can easily kill you. They will kill you if you either fail to notice them or if you run into the Noir when they appear. Additionally, as the game progresses the Noir will become more agitated and they will slowly begin to appear more regularly especially when the power is out or you have lights turned off.

While this description may make the Noir appear as an easy threat, there are a couple dangerous aspects you must keep in mind.

The Noir have the ability to spawn behind the doors to and from the stairwell. If you are impatient and tend to sprint through doorways they can easily kill you when this happens.
The Noir can show up out of nowhere in the hallway when you are placing things like motion sensors. So be wary if you turn around. Twitch Clip

The Noir will instantly kill the player if a couple conditions are met. These conditions include the player being roughly halfway through the game, having more than a single a light turned off in the apartment (This includes the bathroom light), and no other threat being active. The Noir check these conditions every 120 seconds, and when they are met the player will be killed the next time they stand up from their computer.
In 1337 mode the Noir will always be at maximum aggression and are able to perform their instant kill immediately.

Lucas Kumiega[]

Lucas Kumiega or The Hitman is a threat that stays inactive for most of the game and usually activates when the player's difficulty point is 3 or higher (Effectively means you got 3 keys, or 1, 2 keys with 6, 3 hacks triggered, respectively). You do not have to see the keys for the game to count them, you only have to enter the site in which they are hidden. When Lucas becomes active they will regularly visit the player's apartment. If the door is not locked when Lucas visits he will instantly kill you. However, if the door is locked Lucas will instead begin picking the door's lock yielding a faint cue that warns he is attempting to break in. When you hear this cue you have roughly ten seconds to hide in either the bathroom shower or the closet next to the balcony. If you fail to hide before he finishes picking the lock, he will wait for you to open the bathroom door or your front door to kill you. If you have your microphone enabled in the game settings you must also keep quiet while hiding so Lucas does not hear you in your hiding place. While you are hiding he will repeatedly pace around your apartment for a certain amount of time which can be shortened by turning off lights in your apartment before you hide. However, doing so puts you at risk of dying to the Noir in the process. Eventually Lucas will leave and leave you until he visits again.

To make the task of hearing Lucas easier, you can purchase Motion Sensors from the Shadow Market and Motion Alert from the ZeroDay Market. These two items allow you to have a more blatant warning when Lucas is approaching your apartment. Motion Sensors alone will cause the Motion Sensor's icon on your computer to flash when a motion sensor is tripped. The Motion Sensors should be placed on both ends of the hallway as Lucas can come from both directions. If you also have Motion Alert installed, your computer will give an audible warning in addition to the flashing icon when a Motion Sensor is tripped. In addition to these items aiding you in knowing when the Hitman is approaching, it also allows you more time before you must hide to avoid dying. This extra time can be used to turn off additional lights or to assure you can hide before he sees you.

In addition to the above information, there are a variety of things you should keep in mind.

When you hide from the Hitman you should turn off your computer. If you fail to do so Lucas will erase your notes and take your DosCoin before leaving your apartment.
If you hide in the Bathroom you must also be aware that you will be able to hear two different door sounds. You will be able to hear a louder door and a softer door, the louder door indicates him entering the bathroom while the soft sound indicates him leaving the apartment. Only come out of hiding once you heard the soft door shut sound the second time, which indicates the main door being closed after he left the apartment.
If you do not currently have Motion Sensors and Motion Alert it helps to keep your volume up so that the lockpicking sound cue is easier to hear.
As The game progresses Lucas will become more aggressive, due to this it is better to get any shipments earlier in the night.
If Lucas attempts to visit the apartment while you are not present, Lucas will wait to kill you behind the next door you enter to or from the stairwell. There is nothing you can do to stop him if this happens. Once Lucas is active it is recommended you limit your trips out of the apartment to avoid this.
You should avoid using the peephole of the apartment as Lucas can shoot your through the peephole. Twitch Clip

The Breather[]

The Breather is the most annoying enemy in the game as they are tricky to ward off and it is somewhat rare for a player to encounter them. However, despite being the most annoying enemy, they are restricted to the alleyway. When you enter the alley, you will be able to hear a laugh, footsteps, or a phone ringing if the Breather is present. If you hear one of these cues or you are unsure, you must run to the closet on the side of the alley and begin to brace the door by clicking on the doorknob. If the Breather is present you will eventually be able to hear him approaching the closet and after some time he will attempt to force the door open. When this happens you must hold the door closed to prevent him from breaking in. When he stops pushing the door you must also stop bracing so you have enough stamina for the next time he attempts to break in. After doing this many times, the Breather will eventually give up and walk away. If you fail to hide when he is present, the Breather will either kill you when you approach your package or when you attempt to leave.

By default, the Breather will spawn 20% of the times you visit. For every new key encountered after the first, this chance will increase by 5% except when you have encountered the final key. When you have obtained the final key the percentage will jump to 65%.

Hacking[]

Occasionally during the game, you will randomly get targeted by hackers. When this happens you must participate in a couple hacking minigames. The first minigame you are presented with is ZoneWall and when properly beaten can be used to get an Instant Hack Block. When this is failed you will be presented with a StackPUSHER, NodeH3X3R, or MemD3FR4G3R. While it may seem like a better idea to beat ZoneWall to skip the hacking minigame, hacking is a very profitable way to earn DosCoin. If you have a backdoor when you beat whatever hack you are given after failing ZoneWall you will be given a random amount of DosCoin that is dependent on the difficulty of the hack you are given. Fortunately, the difficulty of the hack can be controlled by how many levels of Zonewall are failed.

In addition to the random hacks you will naturally receive, there is also a chance for a hack to be triggered when you visit a dead website. While a quite efficient method in earlier patches, this strategy has been significantly nerfed in the current patch. If you attempt to do this method, you can speed up the process by switching wifi networks to be able to refresh a page more times.

Keep in mind that if you attempt to trigger hacks a lot, you will increase difficulty point and cause the window to open earlier.

While the hacks may seem quite easy when the game first starts, they can very quickly become overwhelming at harder difficulties. It is highly recommended you practice hacking every chance you get. In addition, it helps to have a pen and paper when you happen to receive a higher difficulty MemD3FR4G3R.

Wi-Fi[]

The Wi-Fi networks you use are very important not only for connecting to the Deep Web, but also for warding off the Police who use the Wi-Fi networks to attempt to track your location. Each website in the game has a specific track time which describes the amount of time you can be on that network before the Police can potentially find you. However, when you exceed this timer the game will not instantly kill you. It will instead roll a probability (known as track rate) to see if the Police find you, which is also unique to each Wi-Fi network. Additionally, if this occurs and the police do not find you, the trace timer for that network will be reset to zero. While it is possible to stay on the same network and safely browse without consequence, this is not a good strategy and will almost always result in death on lower security networks.

On another hand, every time you disconnected from a network, that network will enter a 10-minute in-game cooldown. If you do not use that network again during that cooldown (Not connecting to it again for the next 10 minutes), the trace timer for that network will also be reset to zero. So ideally, if you remember to hop between the networks every 10-minute in-game, The Police shouldn't be able to find you either.
Note that if you reconnect to the disconnected network BEFORE 10-min cooldown is over, the trace timer on that network that was previously stopped when you disconnected will continue again (It will not reset to zero).
- In 1337 mode, there are 3 additional changes:
  - The track rate of network is 100%, so as soon as you exceeded the timer, you will get caught.
  - The trace timer is around 30% shorter, i.e: A network that can last for 20 mins in normal mode, now only lasts for 14 mins in 1337 mode.
  - There is also an additional penalty applied to the trace timer of disconnected network if you reconnect to it BEFORE 10-min cooldown is over, the trace timer of it will continue again, but with 30% less time remaining.
    - Example 1: This network has a trace timer of 15 mins, I spent 3 mins on it (It has 12 mins remaining) and disconnected at 10:30. Then, I let the 10-min cooldown pass, reconnect to it again at 10:45. The trace timer got reset to 0 as the cooldown timer has run out, and the trace timer starts from 15 mins remaining again.
    - Example 2: This network has a trace timer of 15 mins, I spent 3 mins on it (It has 12 mins remaining) and disconnected at 10:30. Then, I decided to reconnect back to it early before the cooldown is over, at 10:35. The trace timer did not reset as the cooldown timer has not run out, so it continues from 12 mins remaining that it previously stopped at. But since this is 1337 mode, there is also a penalty applied where you lose 30% time remaining (Lost 12 mins x 30% = 3 mins 36 secs), so now the trace timer starts from 12 mins - 3 mins 36 secs = 8 mins 24 secs remaining instead.

The only way to avoid getting killed is to switch every 10-min in-game or upgrade to higher security networks which are both faster, take longer for the police to track, and give the police a lower chance to find you even if you exceed the timer. Due to this you should start attempting to crack WEP networks as soon as possible, and when you can afford it, you can also by the WPA2 library for SkyBREAK and begin cracking WPA2 networks instead. (You can simply ignore the WPA library since it is not required and is not worth the DosCoin)

Remember that SkyBREAK does not require you to be connected to a Wi-Fi to use.

WEP Cracking[]

To crack a WEP network you must first probe the network and then crack it. When probing you may want to probe from 1 to 1000, but that is quite slow and takes a while to find the correct port. You can instead narrow down the range to check the port range the network's open port must be within. For example, SSWIFI has the port range from 260 - 300, so instead of doing probe <BSSID> 1 1000, you can instead do probe <BSSID> 260 300. Once you find the open port of a network you can simply crack it.

WPA2 Cracking[]

To crack a WPA2 network you must first inject a network and then crack it. Unlike WEP networks, WPA2 networks require repeated injections which can take quite a long time to perform. When injecting, you must make sure to prevent going over the packet limit, and avoid sending injection requests faster than the injection cooldown. If you do not obey these limits, you will cause the network to go offline for a good amount of time. Eventually after injecting SkyBREAK will alert you that the Wi-Fi network is ready to crack.

Be aware that the packet injection process can take a long amount of time, if possible you should multi-task while cracking WPA2 networks. Fortunately, blackouts will not interrupt this process.

Blackout[]

Sometimes, a blackout will happen and the lights will go out. For this reason, you should always grab the flashlight at the beginning of a run. A blackout can be lifted by visiting the maintenance closet at the end of the hallway. During a blackout, you must be cautious because the Noir become more active in the dark. Additionally, you must be wary that the flashlight can run out of battery and cannot be recovered.

There is a chance that when you visit sites with a key, it won't immediately show up on the site and will also not be included in the source code either. You will have to click text and pictures to activate click points, which will spawn a key either on desktop or somewhere on the page. However, this process can be very tedious, so you can find a list of all the click points that spawn the keys below. If you know that the site you are on has a key but you can not find it, you most likely will need to click something to spawn it.

Note that in the following section all the websites are listed in alphabetical order for easier lookup. The click points will also be listed from the top to bottom of a page, so that you can keep track where you are going. The Bold words will be used to indicate that a word indicates a click point inside a paragraph. The number of click points will be listed in each page. ("Click point" will also be abbreviated as "CP" from now on.)

Normal Walkthrough[]

Here are some useful tips you need to know before playing:

The windows can be used as an indication to check if the site you are on had the key or not. If the window opens, it means somewhere on that site, including its sub pages, has the key. This trick is often used to find the first few keys.
- Keep in mind that entering the front page of a site is enough to trigger the window to open - you don't necessarily have to see the sub pages that has the key to trigger it. Therefore, you have to look through everything in that site that triggered the window to open.
- The windows will not open if you ran into the first or second key; only when you run into the 3rd key will it open. This can be used to rule out websites that do not open the window if you have discovered two keys.
- After the window has opened, Lucas can appear at any time, so be careful to listen for his sound cue.
- The system that opens the window/activates Lucas has multiple factors affecting it, but in most cases the window will open when you encounter your 3rd key.
The game saves every 20 minutes in normal mode, but it will not save if you encounter a threat at that time.
If you fail a hack, you can get a virus that will drain your DosCoin and turn off your PC randomly over time. You can buy a VWipe at the bottom of ZeroDay Market to remove which only costs 8 DosCoin.
Holding Shift will make you run faster.
Holding the D key when looking outside through the glass of the door of the small room in the alley can help you see The Breather better to know if he was coming or not. Though be aware this can cause you to teleport to the elevator as part of the game's basic out of bounds protection, softlocking the game. Due to this you should generally just listen for The Breather's footsteps instead.
Noir at the windows or the balcony door generally don't do anything, you can just ignore them. In fact, if one is spawned at the windows, you can just continue using your PC, as using PC also counts as looking away from him.
It helps to save keys and wiki links in an external notepad from the game to avoid losing your notes due to Lucas or failing hacks.
When you are being hacked, the Wi-Fi timer still counts down, so be careful if you are being hacked for a long time as The Police jump scare you after you have finished the hack.
It is good idea to spend the first hour or so of the game Farming DosCoin as you can get the Motion Sensors and Key Cue. As the threats will not be as active as later in the game. However, this will cause you to have less time to search for the keys.

Once you started the game, immediately grab the Flashlight so you won't get lost when the power goes out.
- Try not to use the flashlight too much as it's battery can run out pretty quickly.
Due to the Noir having the ability to instantly kill you later in the game you should make a habit of leaving the lights on. Though you can safely keep one off.
Go to the Alley to fetch Adam's Remote VPN. This will help get you on your feet so you can start farming DosCoin. You can pick up the Remote VPN in your apartment on the wine cellar across from the door to the hallway.
- Get creative with your placement of your Remote VPNs. Go out on the fire escape if you have to, just always place it in a green spot rather than a red or yellow spot for the highest coin farming rate.
- You can check the coin farming rate by clicking DosCoin icon on the top left corner when you are using PC. The best green spot yields 6.143/108 which gives 6 DosCoin per 108 seconds.
- If you are willing to spend time looking for it, the current version of the game has a single red location that produces 277/2770 or 1 DosCoin every 10 seconds.
Nothing can happen before 10:20 (Normal mode), so you have to make use of this time period. Immediately find the 2nd wiki link with the free wifi you have.
- The 2nd wiki link is always in the source code of the first page of a website. It will always look like this... ""
- It's possible that the link can also lie in the middle of spam block, so you have to look for it carefully. [1]
- It's also possible that both the second wiki link and the key can be in the source code of the same page. [2]
- It is highly recommended that you check short websites first to save time.
- Avoid the Doll Maker website unless you are sure that all the other websites don't have the link or keys, as going into this site will trigger the Doll Maker that will make the game much harder.
While you begin to search, you should also begin to crack WEP security Wi-Fi networks.
Once you got the 2nd wiki link, immediately bookmark it and go to The Rule of Three website.
- You have to click the circles in order to trigger the 3rd wiki link. There are 6 sections, each section has 3 clickable circles.
- It's randomized every time, you must complete the puzzle in one go because if you refresh the page, the patterns will change.
- Before you leave the page, make sure you actually copied the link successfully. If you can't copy it, hold alt and click onto A.N.N before trying again.
Once you have finished, you will have the 3rd wiki link. Now that you have all the wiki links, you can begin to search for keys.
- Always remember, there are 2 keys on wiki 1, 3 keys on wiki 2 and 3 keys on wiki 3. If you found enough keys in one wiki, you can immediately move to different wiki!

When looking for keys, you must check every site, their all sub pages, the source code of every page, and the clickpoints for every page to find the 8 keys.

If you hear a ding sound when clicking, it means you found a clickpoint. The key can appear right on the web page you are searching, or as a file on the desktop.
On rare occasions, you will not need to click anything and the key will be in plain sight on a web page.
Some other times, the key is hidden in source code with a string that looks like "", so you have to look for it carefully.
If this process is too tedious, you can try to save for the Key Cue on the ZeroDay Market. This thing will notify you if the sub page you are currently on, has a key.
- If the page has a key, a symbol will show up in the bottom right of ANN browser, start checking source code and the page itself. If you see nothing, start checking all click points on the site until you hear a ding. If you are having difficulties finding the key, you can refresh the site to attempt to change where it is hidden.

Now, while looking for the wiki links and the keys, you should be saving DosCoin to buy WPA2 Library as soon as possible. You need the fastest internet speed and the low track rate of those WPA2 on the desk so that those can carry you for the rest of the game.

Once the window opens, start listening for the lockpick sound cue. If you can't hear this sound well, consider buying 2 Motion Sensors and put them at each ends of the hallway so that they can alert you Lucas is coming. You can also buy Motion Alert for an auditory warning when a Motion Sensor is tripped.

After you got 8/8 keys and 250 DosCoin, start combining all the keys you have found. When you are done you can paste the password into the Noir Tunnel to unlock it.

In order to combine the key, simply put the key in order using the numbers included with them as their order.
- For example... (1 - abcdefghijkl, 2 - mnopqrstuvwx, 3 - yz1234567890) will become (abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz1234567890) when combined.
You will see a message on PC screen afterwards telling you to exit the lobby, after doing so, you will have beaten the game.
- Be careful as you travel to the lobby. It is still possible to die from Noir or Lucas even though you have unlocked the tunnel. [3][4]

1337 Walkthrough[]

Many of the tips written in Normal Walkthrough also applied in this 1337 mode. But there are few notable changes

All the enemies are active at the very beginning, and they all start at maximum
The Breather can appear on all visits to the alley.
All the hacks are at their maximum level of difficulty.
You have no free Remote VPN.
You start with 1 DosCoin and 1 Backdoor. This gives you only 2 chances to counter hacks to earn more DosCoin. If you fail these 2 hacks, it becomes impossible to beat 1337 mode.
The window starts open so you can't use the windows trick to find the keys.
The threats in this mode tend to come in a fixed pattern: Either Lucas or the hack will go off first, followed by the power outage, and then the Noir waiting somewhere at the end. This threat pattern repeats every single time unless you stay on one Wi-Fi for too long, causing The Police to interrupt the pattern. Therefore, it's pretty easy to tell which threat is coming.
The game does not save during a 1337 mode run, so you must complete the game in one session.

Otherwise, everything else stays the same. However, you are unlikely to earn enough DosCoin for Key Cue in this mode.
